StrongholdDer Baader Stronghold stellt sich als außergewöhnlich nützliches Werkzeug dar. Damit ist ein schneller Wechsel von Guide- bzw. Finderscopes möglich. Im Endeffekt , trotz hohem Preis, beim Einsatz mehrerer Finder/ Guider schnell günstiger als die entspechenden Leitrohrschellen mit Zubehör und wesentlich zeitsparender. Sonnenbeobachtung mit Vario Finder 61/250 mmHallo an alle Freunde kleiner Optiken ... Auch mit einem solch kleinen Refraktor ist es gut möglich die Sonne zu beobachten. Ich nutze dieses kleine ( jedoch mechanisch und optisch ) klasse Teleskop für viele Anwendungen. Sowohl via EAA als auch visuell ! Und dieses seit vielen Jahren schon ... Sonne gefunden innerhalb weniger SekundenWas rechtfertigt einen Sucher für diesen Preis, wenn man damit eigentlich nur die Sonne finden will? Ich nutze den SkySurfer V eigentlich nur, um die Sonne schnell zu finden (für die Nacht nutze ich ein Telrad,, da ich mit Leuchtpunktsuchern nicht zurecht komme). Montiert ist er auf einem Triband 8", und hier macht sich schon einmal die Stärke der Standard Basis bemerkbar. Denn ich muss die Platte nur in die, für Zubehör, wie Sucherschienen, o.ä., vorgesehene Schraubverbindung montieren, und den Sucher aufschieben und festziehen. Dadurch, dass die Gewinde auf dem Triband, für die Standard Basis genau passen, ist eine Ausrichtung des Suchers nicht mehr notwendig. Wichtig ist auch, dass der SkySurfer V, durch die höhere Aufnahme, über den vorderen Hitzeschild hinausragt. Wo das Aufsuchen der Sonne mit einem 50er Sucher (mit aufgestecktem Weißlichtfilter), bis zu 20 Minuten (ja selbst ein großer gelber Ball am Himmel, kann schwer zu finden sein) dauerte (selbst früh um 08.30 Uhr schweißtreibend), habe ich jetzt in 5 Sek. die genaue Ausrichtung erreicht. Die Investition hat sich somit vollends gelohnt, auch wenn ich den Preis nicht unbedingt so hoch sehe.Marco -
SkySurfer VMein Fazit nach dem Kauf und wechsel meines Sucher auf den SkySurfer V haben sich gelohnt (da ich Brillenträger bin!).Grösseres Sichtfeld im Sucher ,lrobustes Gehäuse ,Schutzvorrichtung (Springdeckel)gehen nicht verloren in der Nacht….,schnelle Suche bei tagsüber Suche z.Bsp. Sonnenbeobachtung Positiv: leichtes Gewicht,robust,grosses Sichtfeld Negativ: beim Rotpunkt habe ich bei Stufe 7-10 Strahlen nach unten also kein runder Rotpunkt Suche noch die Feineinstellung ,nicht in der Onlinebeschreibung gefundenMichael Bethke

Mag. 12.4 Galaxie und Sterne bis Mag 15.9NGC 4248 - MESSIER 106 MIT DEM VARIO FINDER Hallo und guten Tag ... Via EAA-Livebeobachtung / Ablichtung ist diese " Deep Sky Beobachtung " bis ca. Mag 16 entstanden. Die Abbildung wurde, aus der Stadt vom Balkon aus, erstellt und nur gering , ( "Badpixel und Kontrast / Farbe / Hochpass / Tiefpass etc. zur Ausgabe hier ) angepasst . Auch dort in der " hellen Stadt " ist es möglich den Vario Finder für " lange, tiefe Beobachtungen des Himmels " zu nutzen. Also ganz anders als viele es vermuten würden .... Eine kleine, vielseitige Optik , welche viel Spass bereitet ! Gruß Marco HeegMarco Heeg

Foto Messier 3 mit dem Vario FinderHallo und guten Tag an alle die hier lesen ... Auch für die EAA-Livebeobachtung / Ablichtung ist diese ( wie in meiner anderen Bewertung, schon beschriebenen ) kleine Optik prima zu verwenden. Die beigefügte Messier 3 - Abbildung wurde, aus der Stadt vom Balkon aus, damit erstellt und nur gering , ( "Badpixel und Kontrast / Farbe / Hochpass / Tiefpass etc. zur Ausgabe hier ) angepasst . RDM adapter for Vixen dovetail barI have a side-mounted 92mm refractor that I installed a second vixen dovetail bar on top of the rings that doubles as a carry handle and an attachment point for accessories. In order to attach Baader SkySurfer V red dot finder to the dovetail bar, I used Baader Universal RDM with the Dovetail Base removed and screwed to a small V-style dovetail adapter that was drilled with a pair of counterbored M5 holes spaced at 20mm apart. In the future I also plan to use the same adapter to attach a 60mm Baader Multi-purpose Vario Finder to the dovetail bar. The accessory adapter can slide and clamp along the entire length of the dovetail bar allowing for great flexibility in balancing the telescope, in lieu of attaching heavy accessories to the focuser end which tends to make the telescope tail-heavy. I am very satisfied with this setup. To note: When I had trouble finding the hole sizes and spacing for the two screws that attach Universal RDM to the Dovetail Base, within hours of my submitting a product question, Baader staff reached out to me and provided exceptional support, including adding images to the product info page that show the hole pattern. This is an A+ company that stands 100% behind their products and the amateur astronomy community.Boris -
Vario Finder EAA ( Electronically Assisted Astronomy )- LivebeobachtungHallo und guten Tag ... Auch für die EAA-Livebeobachtung ist diese ( wie in meiner anderen Bewertung schon beschriebenen ) kleine Optik prima zu verwenden. Die beigefügte Hantelnebel - Abbildung wurde via Software automatisch und LIVE erstellt ( nur gering , "Badpixel und Kontrast / Farbe / Hochpass / Tiefpass etc. zur Ausgabe hier angepasst )und ist / war am Monitor des Notebooks auch fast so zu sehen ). Also auch für diese Art der Astronomischen Betätigung ist der Vario Finder bestens geeignet. Mir macht diese kleine Optik viel Spass ! Gruß Marco HeegMarco Heeg

Eine prima Optik und MechanikHallo und guten Tag ... Ich besitze diesen kleinen Achromaten schon mehrere Jahre. Er macht mir, in vieler Anwendung sehr viel Spass. Klein, leicht, gut verarbeitet und auch optisch sehr gut. Sowohl Guiding, Beobachtung und auch EAA ( Electronically Assisted Astronomy ) - Livebeobachtung " funktionieren dank grossem Backfokus mit den unterschiedlichsten Zubehörteilen problemlos gut. Baader 7.5nm Solar Continuum Filter (540nm)
Will it be possible in the future to have this filter for Sony's mirrorless camera also?
It would be a fantastic option also for who doesn't have a telescope.

Answer rated: 0So far, we do not have plans for additional filter sizes. These narrow-band-filters work best visual or with monochrome cameras, anyway, because on a colour camera, all the red and blue pixels would be useless.
But you can use Baader DSLR-2" Filter Holder M48/SP54 # 2408166 plus the Hyperion DT and stepper rings to install the 2" filter in front of most camera lenses which have a filter thread. This will cause some vignetting of the aperture, but it shouldn't be much of a problem asthe sun is still small enough with most camera lenses.

Baader Solar Continuum Filter (540nm)
Would this continuum filter be helpful on an apochromatic, triplet 80mm, refractor AT80EDT? Or would it not be helpful? If no, would another filter be suitable to help with solar detail when using a wedge?
Answer rated: 0Yes, absolutely. A highly recommended filter, even for a triplet.The contrast of the sun's surface increases significantly. Fine structures at the edges of sunsports, the granualation and flare areas appear more clearly. Baader T-Ring Nikon to T-2
Can this T-ring be connected to 2957202 on Baader Herschel Prism?
Does this T-ring cause vignette on full frame Nikon DSLR (image diameter 44mm)?
Answer rated: 1Yes, this works for the new version of the Herschel (Baader 2" Cool-Ceramic Safety Herschel Prism Mark II). Older models without the integrated rotating mechanism for the polarizing filter need the Baader Adapter 2" (male) / T-2 (male) # 1508035 instead.
Please note that the inner diameter of T-2-adapters is ca. 38mm, so there may be some vignetting with a full frame sensor. You will probably not notice it as the image of the sun ist still smaller. One meter of focal length results in a 1 cm large image of the sun, so you'd need about 4m of focal length to fill the frame.
If you want to be sure, you should use Diamond Steeltrack® S58 to M48 BDS-Adapter # 2957204, Reducing piece S52 / M48 # 2958552 and Baader Wide-T-Ring Nikon with D52i to T-2 and S52 # 2408333.
