Yes, this works for the new version of the Herschel (Baader 2" Cool-Ceramic Safety Herschel Prism Mark II). Older models without the integrated rotating mechanism for the polarizing filter need the Baader Adapter 2" (male) / T-2 (male) # 1508035 instead.

Please note that the inner diameter of T-2-adapters is ca. 38mm, so there may be some vignetting with a full frame sensor. You will probably not notice it as the image of the sun ist still smaller. One meter of focal length results in a 1 cm large image of the sun, so you'd need about 4m of focal length to fill the frame.

If you want to be sure, you should use Diamond Steeltrack® S58 to M48 BDS-Adapter # 2957204, Reducing piece S52 / M48 # 2958552 and Baader Wide-T-Ring Nikon with D52i to T-2 and S52 # 2408333. This will avoid any vignetting, and you can use the T-ring with 2" / S52 Nosepiece # 2958551 on any 2" focuser, if you later want to use it e.g. for Deep Sky photography without the Herschel wedge.
