Finger Lakes Instrumentation

State of the art CCD and sCMOS Cameras

Finger Lakes Instrumentation (FLI), a U.S. company based in New York, design, built and services high-quality cooled CCD cameras for astrophotography and develops world-class accessories for gaining images, including high-speed filter wheels and precision focusers.

FLI began operations in 1998 as a supplier of cooled CCD cameras for astronomical research. Since its founding, FLI has quickly become one of the largest and most recognized manufacturers of cooled CCD cameras. Today FLI operate from three locations and supplies cameras to more than 50 countries worldwide. The portfolio of cameras has expanded from astronomy to many other fields: TEM, spectroscopy, radiology, x-ray forensics, materials research, and a wide range of other applications.

The incomparably high cooling performance of the cameras allows an unimaginably high dynamic range in recording, which other cameras can only achieve with using complex HDR technology! This saves exposure time and lets you work more efficient.

FLI currently manufactures cameras with more than 40 different image-sensors, supports a wide variety of additional sensors and offers four different camera series that differ in design and available sensors: ProLine, MicroLine, Kepler sCMOS series and Cobalt DC4320 cameras and the brand new Hyperion series. Especially ProLine and MicroLine are recommendable for long-term exposure in astrophotography.

We provide several cameras of the Cobalt, Kepler, ProLine and MicroLine series and accessories from Finger Lake Instrumentation.
