Baader Wide-T-Ring Canon R to connect Canon EOS R cameras on the Astro T-2 system and S52 dovetail
All Baader Wide-T-rings have an S52 dovetail in addition to the inserted T-2 ring. This allows the T-ring to be modified to an M48 female thread using the S52 / M48 adapter #2958552, or to use the S52 barrel #2958551 without the T-2 reduction. With the S52 / M68 adapter # 2458252, the Wide-T-Ring can be directly attached to an M68 male thread to securely fasten your camera to the widest possible aperture.
All Baader Wide T-rings can be directly adapted to an UFC (Universal Filter Changer) with the optional Baader UFC S52 dovetail camera-adapter (#2459119), in order to change different filter sizes directly in front of the camera sensor.
Furthermore, the illumination of the camera chips improved significantly, mainly because of the larger clear aperture.

Telescope side: S52 dovetail clamp incl. S52/T-2 internal thread with 0.75mm pitch

I would like to use this Canon R Wide T-Ring and the UFC system as shown in the product image with the telescope. I want to use it to attach a Canon EOS R to my telescope's field flattener which has 55 mm of back focus and a male T-2 connector.

I just ordered the new Canon Ra. I would like to find an M48 ring to screw my corrector on.
Do you have a compatible ring?

We've been asked a few times recently on how to set up the Baader UFC for use with a DSLR and a range of wide-field imaging refracting telescopes. So we thought we would write a short blog on some ways this can be done. Let us start from the telescope side first. Baader Universal Filter Changer (UFC): The UFC camera-side adaptors (Part 4)

In this latest blog on the Baader UFC System, we will look at the UFC camera-side adaptors. At present there are nine (9) different adaptors that will allow cameras to be attached to the (camera-side) of the UFC Base unit. These are shown in the image below. The image shows the type of fitment to the camera (e.g. T-2, FLI etc), the product code and also the optical path length (thickness) of the adaptor (which is important when using the UFC system with e.g. focal reducer where the camera sensor needs to be positioned at a particular distance from the reducer - we will cover this in a later post).
