AgenaAstro is an official US-dealer for Baader Planetarium products. If they can't help you, they will contact our US distributor AlpineAstro. So its fine if you try to solve this issue with AgenaAstro
Baader Web Team / August 29, 202400- Hello Baader Web Team! Thank you for a quick reply. I am located in US and purchased the diagonal from Agena Astro at https://agenaastro.com/ Please let me know if that is the dealer you can work with or if I should reach out to somebody else. Thank you again, AGAleks G / August 28, 202400
Dear Aleks,
sorry for the confusion. Of course you are right, the M43 to T2 adapter is not the correct part you need.
The 32mm Baader Prisma Diagonal is already supplied by the manufacturer with a screwed-in M34 to T2 adapter, so we do not have the adapter in stock as a spare part. However, we can search for this part, perhaps an adapter is still available via a return.
However, we can only ship the adapter to the following EU countries:
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, SwedenAs we cannot find you in our customer data, you probably did not buy the Prism directly from us. Please let us know where you are based so that we can direct you to the correct dealer if necessary.
Baader Web Team / August 28, 202400- Although the suggested adapter in the answer looks similar, it does not seem to fit the housing of this Baader Prism Diagonal T-2/90° 32mm. This diagonal housing has M34 female threads and not M43. The adapter that I am looking for needs to have M34 outside threads on one side and T2 outside threads on the other side.Aleks G / August 28, 202400
We offer your missing M34 male to T-2 male adapter as a single spare part:

- Unfortunately, this only works with 2" mirrors. This is because the housing of a 1.25" prism is filled with the glass of the prism so that the lower part of the eyepiece cannot penetrate the housing.Baader Web Team / May 27, 202410
- We never tried placing a prism behind the telecompressor, as it is intended mainly for photography and we had never thought of a use case where this might be necessary. We never tried it out and can't really give a profound answer, worry. The glass path is 32mm, the optical length - that this the backfocus needed when you screw the diagonal into your system between two T-2-threads - is 35mm. The black holes are only necessary to fit the adapter into the body of the diagonal and tighten or unscrew it. You can't change the orientation/stop point of the thread with them. This would only be possible with additional spacer/fine tuning rings, or a quick changer.Baader Web Team / August 22, 202310
- This is the same M34 thread which is used on our glasspath correctors and it is intended to accept these glass path correctors.Baader Web Team / August 22, 202300
- Please see the Celestron Whitepaper. The optimum distance for the sensor is defined 146,05 mm +/- 0,5mm behind the end face of the mounting thread for the accessories of the tube back plate, If you go further out the image will degrade on the edges more and more.Baader Web Team / May 8, 202310
