Refraktoren von PENTAX
Pentax refractors are specialists for one thing above all: They are excellent optics for photography. In addition, the refractors have a very large field of view which is free of aberrations - even without additional field flatteners. This was certainly a convincing argument for Pentax refractors, especially if you think of the always-increasing chip-size of modern digital cameras.

Unfortunately, PENTAX has completely stopped the production of astronomical refractor telescopes. Unfortunately, we cannot order any parts, nor do we have any remaining telescopes in stock.
We are still producing adapters from Baader Planetarium for the Pentax system. With the Baader M68 system we offer an adapter solution for the eyepiece side of Pentax refractors, which allows the use of the complete range of Baader accessories.
On our www.baader-planetarium.de website we had a presentation of the PENTAX refractors, which we would like to make available to you here as a reference in PDF form (sorry, German language only).

Hi. I have a Celestron Edge HD 8".
I would like to connect my Nikon D750 directly to the back of my SCT by using the Baader 2" ClickLock SC/HD (2") clamp (2956220).
What else I need to buy in order to do that?
regards,
SorinIs Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: 0Please consider that although the 8" Edge HD illuminates a 42 mm image circle, it is optimized for an 28 mm APS-C field.
The choice is between the larger M48 standard or the regular T-2 parts.
To minimize vignetting on the fullframe D750, we would advice going with M48.
The 8" Edge HD has a backfocus of 133,35 mm.
You can achieve this proper working distance with the following parts, starting at the telescope:
- SC / HD (2")-Clicklock (#2956220) [47 mm - 10 mm thread length = 37 mm]
- M48 extension tube 40 mm / 2" nosepiece (#2958640) [4 mm remaining]
- Fine-Adjustment ring 1 mm (gold) - Aluminium (#2457923) [1 mm]
- M48 extension tube 30 mm / 2" nosepiece (#2958630) [30 mm]
- Fine-Adjustment ring 0.5mm (red) - Aluminium (#2457922) [0,5 mm]
- M48 extension tube 5 mm (# 2958605) [5 mm]
- Fine-Adjustment ring 1 mm (gold) - Aluminium (#2457923) [1 mm]
- Reducing piece S52 / M48 (#2958552)
- Wide-T-Ring Nikon with D52i to T-2 and S52 (#2408333) [8,4 mm]

Answer rated: 0Technically this will work but we do not recommend it. Projection "straight through" is always better and safer.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jun 28, 2022 8:07:00 AMRated: 06/25/2022 3:09 PM V-Dovetail, 495 mm for Celestron RASA 8"

What is the correct Baader UFC filter slider to fit the 2" version of this filter? Will it fit into the 2" UFC slider (product #2459112)?Is Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: 0Yes, the 2" UFC Filter Slider (#2459112) will fit the 2" version of the Neodymium Moon & Skyglow filter, as long as this is a newly purchased filter in 6mm Low Profile Filter Cell. There are still some old used versions on the market with larger filter cells (8mm height), which won't fit.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jun 27, 2022 8:02:00 AMBaader Planetarium GmbHOur company exists now for more than 50 years.
