Affordable, Cooled Multi-Spectrum Cams/h4>

The QHYminiCAM5S (#1931040, € 541,01) is a premium multi-purpose camera, capable for Deep Sky and Planetary imaging, as well as guiding.

The camera uses a high QE 1.2mega pixel 1/3inch 1280*960 CMOS sensor. The sensor has a peak of QE of 75%. The miniCAM5S has 30fps high speed output at the full 1280*960 resolution and 200fps at 320*240, making it a great planetary camera.

It has professional two stage TEC (with set point), which can cool the image sensor down to -45 below ambient, making it an ideal Deep Sky camera. It also has extremely low readout noise of 2e-.

The miniCAM5F, an evolution of the miniCAM5S, is a highly-sensitive, cooled, CMOS camera with a built-in 9 position motor driven filter wheel and LRGB filter set.

Enhanced with long exposure capability and cools -38ºC below ambient whilst based on the same 1.2 megapixel 1/3” sensor used in the highly sensitive QHY5L-II. The 1.2 Megapixel camera is capable of capturing full 1280x960 pixel images at 30 frames per second, or 320x240@200FPS, with extremely low read noise of 2 electrons! Thermal noise is reduced significantly making this camera a great deep sky astrophotography camera.

You can install the L, R, G, B, Ha, OIII, SII, CH4 and a black filter (for dark frame capture) all on the same filter carousel. QHYCCD bundles this capable camera with 12mm LRGB filters. This gives you out-of-the-box capability of doing high resolution LRGB astrophotography, be it planetary or deep sky. Optional Ha, SII, OIII, Hb and Methane (CH4) filters are also available.

The camera comes with a 1.25-inch C-thread T-ring used to connect to the telescope. The 1.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor is very suitable for capturing smaller objects like planetary nebulae, small galaxies and globular clusters. If you have a short focal length OTA, it is also ideal for big, diffused nebulae. The miniCAM5F is a really mini camera, so it is excellent for building a compact imaging system.
