1/12/2021 4:21 PM Baader MaxBright® II Binoviewer with case
I am considering buying the Maxbright ll (mainly because of the clicklock) and was wondering how much difference optically I will see in comparison with original Maxbright that I own. I use them on a Celestron 8SE with TV 2" everbrite dielectric diagonal. Thanks!Is Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: -1The main difference which you will notice will be at low magnifications: You can use eyepieces wih 32mm without notable vignetting by the larger prisms. In this regard, it is much closer to our Mark V giant binoviewer than to the smaller binoviewers. Especially with the Universal Alan Gee II - Telecompressor (UAG II) # 2454405, you can get larger field of views han with the old MaxBright or similar binoviewers.
At high magnifications with a smaller field of view, there isn't too much of a difference, except perhaps a little bit in direct comparison because of the coating.

will this fit on a GSO RC8?
Thanks
MattIs Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: -1The SteelTrack SC focuser comes with 2" and 3.3" SC-threads; as far as we can see (please check your teelscope's manual) the RC has got an M90x1-thread.
For the RT-version (for refractors), we do have RT-Adapter M90x1 Diamond Steeltrack® (Skywatcher) # 2957283, but it does not fit on the SC-focuser.
The SC-focuser has got a length of 93mm plus 30mm of travel;
the RT-focuser has got a minimum length of 78mm plus 80mm of travel.
So, you can probably use the RT-version # 2957210 with the M90-adapter instead of the SC-version.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jan 11, 2021 1:28:00 PMRated: 01/9/2021 3:25 AM Baader1¼" Amici-erecting-prism 45° with 24mm free aperture
I'm sorry i forgot to included in my previous statement , i was using this setup for primarily terrestrial viewing if it makes any different at allIs Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: -1For terrestrial observations, you probably won't need the Barlow lens, as the Hyperion Zoom gives you up to 70x, which is in the range of the highest magnifications which are usually permitted by the turbulences in our atmosphere. The higher magnifications of the Barlow can only be used on days with steady, clear air (this is less of a problem when looking into the stars instead of through the thick layers of turbulent air close to the Earth's surface).Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jan 11, 2021 1:40:00 PMRated: 01/9/2021 2:43 AM Baader1¼" Amici-erecting-prism 45° with 24mm free aperture
I am working with a SV-80mm f/6.9 scope, i already purchased your mark iv 8-24mm zoom eyepiece. My question is will this diagonal, and your Hyperion® Zoom Barlow Lens set up work with my scope and or will i need any additional accessories for it thanks again for helping out.Is Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: 0If the telescope has got a standard 1.25" eyepiece clamp (the Hyperion eyepiece should fit into it in 1.25" configuration) and if it hasn't got an extremely uncommon back focus, then this combination will work.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jan 11, 2021 1:37:00 PMRated: 11/8/2021 11:10 PM Glasspathcorrector 1:1,70 for Baader-Binoviewer with T-2 thread (MaxBright II® and MaxBright®)
I am using the original Maxbright with a pair of 17.5 Morpheus and a 2" Everbrite Dielectric diagonal on a Celestron 8SE.
Can you please tell me what is the exact magnification I will get when using the 1.7 GPC. Thank youIs Answered? Yes (1 answer)

Focal length of your telescope is 2000mm x 1,7 (Glaspath corrector) : 17,5mm (Focal length of your eyepiece) = roughly 194 x magnification
