Mounts from Eckhardt Alt
ALT mounts cannot shine either through voice control or through Internet support, but they certainly belong to the most precisely functioning and at the same time highest instrument load bearing mounts. For many years, Baader Planetarium has exclusively supplied the mounts manufactured by Mr. Alt, both individually and largely by hand. Mr. Alt has been retired for several years now.
At this point we would like to thank Mr. E. Alt for the many years of good cooperation and wish (albeit with regret) a pleasant, well-deserved retirement.
If you have any service questions concerning ALT mounts, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will forward your inquiry if necessary.
On our old www.baader-planetarium.de website we had an extensive presentation of the ALT mounts, which we would like to make available to you here as a reference in PDF form (sorry, German language only). At the current time (January 2019) we still have very few ALT mounts in stock and this is probably the last opportunity to purchase such a mount. We do not offer these as single products on our website, if you are interested, please contact us.

What is the correct Baader UFC filter slider to fit the 2" version of this filter? Will it fit into the 2" UFC slider (product #2459112)?Is Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: 0Yes, the 2" UFC Filter Slider (#2459112) will fit the 2" version of the Neodymium Moon & Skyglow filter, as long as this is a newly purchased filter in 6mm Low Profile Filter Cell. There are still some old used versions on the market with larger filter cells (8mm height), which won't fit.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jun 27, 2022 8:02:00 AMRated: 06/20/2022 9:02 AM Baader Q-Barlow 2.25x / 1.3x
What is the focal length of the barlow or is the given magnification correct? I measured some photos and got different results. Is Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: 0The focal length is 45.5mm, the magnifications given are correct for the Baader Classic eyepieces and all other eyepieces where the field sop is 2mm inside of the 1.25" nose piece. The magnification factor of a Barlow lens depends on how far it is from the field stop of the eyepiece or the camera sensor. So if your camera is in the wrong distance, it will deliver a different magnification. We have now explained this more extensive in this FAQ.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Jun 20, 2022 9:03:00 AMRated: 16/17/2022 6:39 AM Baader Nose piece 1¼" / T-2 (T-2 part #14)
