I own a new Stellarvue SVX 130T f7 refractor. Is this scope too fast to be used in this high end amici prism diagonal? I understand it works well with long f ratios. Is 7 not applicable? Perhaps the non amici version is better suited for f7 refractors? Thanks. Davis.

Are the BBHS coatings easy to clean? Do the coatings have a life comparable to your dielectric coatings? Do the coatings degrade over time and at what rate? Is there a difference in performance between your dielectric diagonal and the BBHS one, what are the differences and are they significant or very slight? I own an early Televue APO 4 inch refractor.

I have the 2456120 diagonal, and it's fine. However the Clicklock-SC clamp I use to fix the diagonal to my C9.25 SCT is too thick. What I really want is something with an SC-thread for the scope and on the other end, something to fit directly into the prism housing. Is there such a thing?

I have Baader elements 2459110, 2459112, 2459120, 2459128 to attach the Baader UFC system to the entrance of this Amici prism.
In order to reduce the length of the setup on my Celestron C8, I would like to mount the UFC at the exit of the prism.
As I don't understand why the clicklock is fixed only with the 6 small screws (which does not allow me to use the 4 elements that I put at the entrance) instead of using the threading, can you tell me what I have to acquire to put the UFC at exit ?

If I buy the amci prism #2456130 and add 2" nosepiece #2408150 and 2" clicklock M42 #2956242 and some spacer rings #2458102 do I end up with a visually equivalent system # 2456120 while saving over 25% cost? Does the end result in a different clear aperature or is the only downside that I can connect directly to sc thread?

I have treated myself to this Baader Amici Prism!! However - I am now concerned with reading reports from online astronomy forums regarding this prism sometimes causing a 'roofline diffraction spike' in the eyepiece image. Will this happen to me?? I will only use the prism for visual astronomy, not photography. Focal Ratio of my telescope = F10, focal length = 2800 mm. Celestron CPC1100. Most of my viewing will be in the 100X to 250X magnification range. Thanks for any reassurance you can give me! PS I love your products!!

An amici will produce an erect image that is non reversed side to side. I am assuming this is the orientation when the eyepiece in the diagonal is pointing straight up. What is the orientation of the image when the diagonal is rotated 90 degrees to the left or right. My wife is shorter than me and I usually need to rotate the diagonal to the right so that she can see the image. Thanks.

I am interested in Baader 2"/90° Astro Amici-Prism. I have this question: I have a Intes Alter 603 telescope that have a SCT thread on the back of it. To illustrate what kind of thread it is: I can fit this eyepiece form baader directly to the telescope without the diagonal https://www.firstlightoptics.com/baader-planetarium/baader-hyperion-aspheric.html
So now I wonder if I can fit the in Baader 2"/90° Astro Amici-Prism to the telescope in the same way, or if I need some kind of adapter also? If so, what?
It is this type of telescope https://www.astroshop.eu/telescopes/intesmicro-maksutov-telescope-mc-150-1500-alter-m603-ota/p,6551#specifications. I really like it, and I like Baader products also, so to combine this diagonal with this telescope sounds like a good idea!
Kind regards, Best wishes,
Jonas

If compared side by side, aside from the orientation of the image, which prism provides better quality views, the amici prism or non amici version prism. Both are made of the same materials I'm assuming but I believe light must bend more in the amici prism to produce the properly oriented image. Is there any degradation of the image because of this? I am choosing the Bader prism as my next purchase for my f/7 refractor and I understand that your prisms produce incredible images. Which one is better? Thanks.

Mein Teleskop:
Vixen SD115s Refraktor (115mm Durchmesser, 890mm Brennweite)
Okulare:
TeleVue Nagler 22mm, Vixen SSW 7mm

Wärmste Empfehlung an Alle!
