Especially if your telescope is mounted on an Alt-Az mount, you can use the Baader 2" NexStar locking ring #245827 instead ot the SC-ClickLock to permanently mount the mirror at the back of the telescope - if you remove the nosepiece from our star diagonals, you get an SC-thread which fits directly at the telescope. This way, so can save some space and do not risk that the telescope hits the base of the mount when you point it high at the sky.
If there is no thread available, but the telescope has got enough backfocus and already a 2" clamp, you can use either #2956237 37mm ClickLock extension or #2956247 47mm ClickLock extension, or even the Baader 2" ClickLock Diagonal Mirror #2956100 - then you don't have the Clicklock at the telescope, but at least you can use it whenever you change the eyepiece.
Is this an issue or is it designed like this? I also thought that the part would be smooth when rotated, but I can feel distinct clicks so to speak. I just want to make sure that this unit is good and not defective, and I have never use this type of system before
The distinct clicks are part of the design. This was designed to let people hear and feel the lever position also in the dark.
1) How long is the overall length of this adapter including the 2" nosepiece. I know the optical length is 47mm, so how long is the attached 2" nosepiece?
2) How deep can a 2" eyepiece be inserted into this adapter? I have a 2" eyepiece with a 38mm nosepiece. Will I be able to seat it all the way in?
I have a Nikon DSLR and that I use with and without a Focal reducer. What other Clicklock products would I need to purchase?
because the telescope requires a dedicated back focus distance to the camera. Therefore Celestron is offering a special adapter #93644 which is made of two pieces. Without reducer at f/10 the back focus length is 133,35mm, with reducer at f/7 it is 105,0mm. I know it is less convenient to change accessory but for astrofotography you have to spend more attention that you´ll be successfull.
Does this clamp center the accessory relative to the focuser tube?

The camera itself has 18mm backfocus (Sony e=eighteen bayonet) plus11mm for the bajonett/T2 Ring is reducing 96,25mm-(18mm+11mm)

For an APS-C-camera, you can use T-2-adapters without problems and don't need a larger diameter for the adapters. So, you can use the standard T-ring, which gives you 55mm backfocus for the DSLR.
To adapt the APS-C-camera to the 8" EdgeHD with a Clicklock, we'd recommend
- 1x T-Ring Nikon to T-2 # 2408300 (55mm backfocus to the camera sensor)
- 1x Baader VariLock 29, lockable T-2 ExtensionTube 20-29mm with spanner tool, set to 28.5mm, # 2956929
- 1x Baader 2" / T-2 Nose Piece and Camera adapter # 2408150 (total length 2,5mm)
- 1x 2" Clicklock #2956220 (length 47mm, you already have this part)
This gives you a total length of 133mm without a filter.
You can screw any filter with a 2" housing into the 2" nosepiece (just like into any eyepiece). The filter will move the focus outwards by ca. 1/3 of its thickness, so a 2mm filter will move the focus about 0.7mm outwards. If you set the Varilock to 29mm, you are within the 8" EdgeHD's specified working distance of 133.35 +/-0.5mm.
A full-frame camera would require a Wide-T-Ring to make use of the full aperture; for the smallet APS-C, the T-2-combination works fine.
The M64 (Takahashi) or the M60 (vixen) model could suite . But I do not have their thread pitch.
What is the thread pitch of the M64 ClickLock (Takahashi ref # 2956264) and the M60 ClickLock (Vixen, ref # 2956260) ?
I have a Quattro and the manual says this is a 54.5mm x 1 thread. I have verified this by threading a 54mm x 1 accessory on to the scope and it was very loose. What exactly is the threading on your ClickLock?

to use any camera with a 2" nosepiece. It has got a length of 40mm. The ideal backfocus of a Schmidt-Cassegrain is about 5" (a little bit omre for the C925, see https://www.celestron.com/blogs/knowledgebase/what-are-the-optimum-back-focus-distances-for-celestron-scts
So, to use it the perfect distance, you may want to get closer to this with an extension like Baader 2" ClickLock 47 mm extension #2956247 or some other extension tubes. But you'll reach focus without the extension, too.
Celestron provides a T-adapter to SC which gives you the right distance, but it uses only the T-thread (M42x0.75) and will cause vignetting on a full-frame sensor (and is also calculated for a DSLR with 55mm flange distance.
Then you can use our M68 Clicklock #2956268. Make sure you have enough backfocus after the ClickLock. Old 17" and current 20" do not allow for the ClickLock and 2" Diagonal. You wont reach focus.
If you need NO 2" Diagonal you may need M68 Extensions. In this case we suggest our M68 Adapterset for Planewave which includes various Extensions and the Planewave Adapter.
I own a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 SCT with CPC mount. It comes with 2" back and 2 inch diagonal. Can I replace the back with the #2956233 SCL (3,3")-ClickLock and then interface the Baader 2" ClickLock Diagonal Mirror# 2956100 ? I don't see this combination described in your documentation. If I missed it, apologies.
This would allow me to easily rotate the diagonal if needed and would appear to keep focal length very close to original. There is no problem with zenith rotation of OTA.
Any comments on doing this are appreciated.
The regular C925 SCT doesn't have the large 3.3"-SC-thread, but the smaller 2" SC-thread like the C8. So, you need
#2956220 SC / HD (2")-Clicklock (5" SC, 6" SC/HD, 8" SC/HD and 9¼" SC)
With this, you can use any 2" accessories.
The 3.3" Clicklock only fits onto C11 and C14.

Otherwise, we need the specifications of your telescope - does it provide a thread or a dovetail, and can you unscrew your existing clamp? I have the 47mm extension and the nose piece is 27mm on that one...is it the same?
Visual use is a bit complicated, because a star diagonal like #2956100 already has got an optical length of 112mm incl. Clicklock clamp. You can remove the nosepiece, then you'll have a 2"-thread with which you can attach it directly to the reducer - but you'll need the NexStar Locking Ring #2458270 to rotate it into a convenient position. It is 5mm thick - please check if the thread at the Celestron reducer is long enough.
But for visual observation, it is not as critical as for photography - we even have customers who have adapted a focuser to an EdgeHD and are happy with the results.
We would suggest to get an M54 inverter ring custom made at a milling company. There is a company in Germany who does such things, but we don't know if they ship international: www.astroholgi.de
Which T Adapter and fully pushes into ClickLock and provides the correct optical path length to use with a Nikon T Mount DSLR?
The finetuning ring works as an extender and with the stop ring you can fix the length you need. We recommend using a vernier caliper so you can
set it to the length of your demand. Please hold in mind that the 2" SC thread from OTA is 10mm long and therefore the optical length of the ClickLock
is decreasing from 47mm to 37mm.

rings wont fit. At the moment we´re planing to supply ClickLock for the none-standart M68/M54 but it will take some time. We´d prefer to use also
a ClickLock on the focuser, otherwise you´ll need a locking ring. Depending on your requirements this diagonals surely can be a good partner:

1. Do I leave the base ring on the SCT (it's mounted quite tight, I haven't been able to remove it with normal force), and just use the 2" threading? Or do I remove the base ring (with extra force?) and use the 2" Baader ClickLock with 3.3" clamp?
2. Do I need to compensate for the extra length of the standard setup cone? And if yes, how is this accomplised?
3. If I want to use the Celestron .7x Focal Reducer for the 800 EdgeHD, I'm assuming this goes between the SCT and the Baader ClickLock?

is part of it and do not open it! Comparing the classic SCT with backfocus length around ~110mm the EdgeHD model has 133,35mm. When using
a 2" diagonal the longer optical length of it is compensating the difference. For visual use the optical lengthes are not that important, for
astrophotographie it is. Okay for visual using the 2956220 ClickLock 2"SC is fine. The 0,7reducer is preffered made to use doing astrophotography,
for visual use please take eye pieces with longer focal length. Please take a look at this item (sorry german lang. only):
We do not have ready-made wahers, but to released stuck parts, we like to use sturdy rubber gloves which give you a better grip. Maybe they are also helpful for you.
Feather Touch Focuser. Think the tread into the focuser is M75X 1 Female Tread. Do you have a 2" ClicLock-clamp for that?
I would like to try and figure out which clicklock item I can use with whatever combination I wish to try, but I am finding all this a bit confusing as I don't understand all the various threads etc..

For the Altair, you'd have to check the manual to be sure, we do not have the data for all telescopes. According to their website, it should offer an M54x0,75 if you remove the original eyepiece clamp. Then the

should fit. If it doesn't, Altair mentions a M54-to-M48-adapter for CCD-cameras - if youbhave this one, you can use

Then you have a standard 2" eyepiece clamp and can use 2"-accessories as before, your old 1,25"-adapter (or an optional Baader 2" to 1¼" ClickLock Reducer #2956214), or for your camera the Baader 2" / T-2 Nose Piece and Camera adapter #2408150 plus T-Ring Nikon to T-2 #2408300. You may need additional T-2-extension tubes to reach focus with your refractor.

Never before has an eyepiece clamp for amateur astronomy been so elaborately crafted.Heaviest tested load: complete C14 with SCL 2" ClickLock clamp and a 2" ClickLock mirror diagonal with Scopos 30mm Extreme eyepiece. Attention: not recommended for imitation!
The Baader ClickLock (1¼" / 2") is a precisely fitting, very massive eyepiece clamp without clamping screws (!). Inserted eyepieces, CCD cameras and similar accessories are securely held in place, locked against rotation and won't be scratched in any way! With a small turn of 20°, each eyepiece is firmly clamped. You will never have to handle small locking screws again – instead, just rotate the top of the eyepiece clamp for a few degrees, and the eyepiece will be firmly fixed. This is also no problem with gloves on!
Our various ClickLock clamps are made of seven precision-machined components which provide a highly effective retention mechanism that securely holds any 1¼" or 2" eyepiece. The clamp is very expensive to assemble, the price therefore initially may appear high for "nothing more than" a clamping device. But if you think about the comfort, precision and stability, it's well worth the money.
You do not have to tighten the ClickLock clamps with brutal force, because the mechanical principle comes from professional mechanical engineering. This is how the tool holder in modern CNC milling centers works. Clever use of leverage multiplies the torque. The inserted object is held on three sides similar to a quick-action chuck and can therefore no longer carry out any tilting movements.

We have tested the effectivity and stability of the ClickLock mechanism for many years with the 1¼" ClickLock clamp.
The 2" ClickLock system is designed to be much more mechanically solid.
- Even a 20° turn with light pressure of the rotary lever is enough to hold all 2" accessories absolutely securely and firmly.
- Ratchet function – indicates the position of the clamp acoustically and haptically. So you can know if the clamp is open or closed in the dark and without looking.
- Massive tension ring – keeps even the most expensive accessories absolutely safe, without causing scratches and bruises
- The position of the rotary lever is adjustable for left-hand / right-hand use either by six camera slotted screws or by six Allen screws with a hexagonal wrench (depending on the model)
- The heaviest tested load to date is a complete C14 with an SCL-clamp and a 2" Click Lock star diagonal with a Scopos 30mm extreme eyepiece. The C14 has been lifted on the eyepiece. We emphasize that this test setup is not is recommended for imitation.
- The extensive range of ClickLock clamps makes it possible to retrofit the Baader 2" ClickLock clamp on many telescopes
With the 2" Clicklock clamp, you can also convert e.g. your 2" Maxbright mirror (or the 2" universal prism) to the Clicklock system, simply unscrew the old 2" clamp and screw on the new 2" Clicklock clamp.
