Which Baader 2" ClickLock should i choose for my meade lxd55 emc 127 mm refractor ?

Question by: CATRYCKE on Sep 16, 2017 5:33:55 PM | 1 Answer(s)
Unfortunately, we do not have the technical data for all telescopes on the market, especially not for older models. To answer your question, we would need to know which threads are available on your focuser. If this information is not included in the manual, you'd have to contact the manufacturer.
If there is no thread available, but the telescope has got enough backfocus and already a 2" clamp, you can use either #2956237 37mm ClickLock extension or #2956247 47mm ClickLock extension, or even the Baader 2" ClickLock Diagonal Mirror #2956100 - then you don't have the Clicklock at the telescope, but at least you can use it whenever you change the eyepiece.

I have a Celestron Edge HD 8" SCT. After a few months using the 40mm kit eyepiece, I'm looking to purchase a couple of Hyperion eyepieces. What ClickLock components would be required to mount this?
Question by: Greg Russell on Apr 25, 2017 2:58:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
To use 2"-accessories with an SCT or EdgeHD, we recommend the following parts:
#2956220 SC-Clicklock (for 6", 8", 9¼") or #2956233 SCL-ClickLock (11", 14")
#2956100 Baader 2" ClickLock Diagonal Mirror or #2456115 Baader 2" BBHS ® Mirror Diagonal with 2" ClickLock Clamp
optional: #2956214 Baader 2" to 1¼" ClickLock Reducer (T-2 part #15B) (all Hyperion an Morpheus eyepieces can be used with the 2" barrel; this reducer is only necessary for 1,25" eyepieces)
Especially if your telescope is mounted on an Alt-Az mount, you can use the Baader 2" NexStar locking ring #245827 instead ot the SC-ClickLock to permanently mount the mirror at the back of the telescope - if you remove the nosepiece from our star diagonals, you get an SC-thread which fits directly at the telescope. This way, so can save some space and do not risk that the telescope hits the base of the mount when you point it high at the sky.

I have two questions about the 2" ClickLock 2" CL-Extension 47mm.
1) How long is the overall length of this adapter including the 2" nosepiece. I know the optical length is 47mm, so how long is the attached 2" nosepiece?
2) How deep can a 2" eyepiece be inserted into this adapter? I have a 2" eyepiece with a 38mm nosepiece. Will I be able to seat it all the way in?
Thanks,
Steve
Question by: Steve on Feb 22, 2018 2:31:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
The length over all is 74mm so the 2" nose piece telescope side is 27mm long (74mm-47mm). The ClickLock body takes 2" barells up to 36mm deep.

I recently purchases a 2" Baader Clicklock visual back to use with my EdgeHD 8" SCT. My issue is that the system is too tight and binds up. When I put a 2" diagonal or eyepiece into the clicklock and go to lock it I can only get about 1/2 of the rotational movement before it gets tight to the point of binding up.
Is this an issue or is it designed like this? I also thought that the part would be smooth when rotated, but I can feel distinct clicks so to speak. I just want to make sure that this unit is good and not defective, and I have never use this type of system before
Question by: Trevor on Mar 7, 2017 2:34:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
What you describe is completely normal. You only have to turn the lever by about 15 - 20° - if really the 2" barrel has the correct standard diameter. The lever moves much further in order to provide secure clamping action also for badly undersized 2" sleeves/barrels, which we have seen in this industry. A 15-20° turn for standard eyepieces will already put a lot of force onto a 2" barrel - you will note that it will hold your eyepiece or diagonal very firm and securely. You should not try to tighten it up as hard as you can! There is no need to extend a large force when clamping an eyepiece.
The distinct clicks are part of the design. This was designed to let people hear and feel the lever position also in the dark.

Can you tell me which 2" clamp is appropriate for the Sky-Watcher 8" Flextube SynScan GoTo Collapsible Dobsonian?

Question by: Paul on Feb 1, 2019 1:59:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
Most likely (we don´t sell SkyWatcher) your clamp is made with a M54x1 thread so our 2956254 will fit. Please unscrew you clamp and check it
with a caliper or ruler to be sure.

1) Can the clamp part and <4.1" UNF part of the Baader 2" ClickLock 4.1"i UNF/24G clamp (TEC / Feathertouch)> be separated?
2) Then, does the 4.1" i UNF part have a female thread of M68X1 like the separately sold product (# 2458191)?
3) Are the 3 set screw holes drilled on the 4.1" i UNF exactly the same as those on the Feather thouch focuser FT3545?
thank you.
Question by: Baik Kim on Dec 15, 2021 6:17:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
Yes, this ClickLock clamp consists of our M68x1 ClickLock #2956268 and the mentioned 4.1" to M68 adapter #2458191. Both parts can be separated, thus revealing the individual threads. The 3 set screws on the 4.1" should indeed be the same as the large Feathertouch focuser

Do u know which baader adapter fits my Meade 6000 115mm APO triplet refractor?
Question by: John on Oct 28, 2019 2:59:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
We do not have the specifications for all telescopes available on the market. If there is enough back focus, you can always insert one of the 2"-extensions #2956237 37mm ClickLock extension or #2956247 47mm ClickLock extension into your existing eyepiece clamp.
Otherwise, we need the specifications of your telescope - does it provide a thread or a dovetail, and can you unscrew your existing clamp? Then you can measure the thread as described here:
https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/blog/clicklock-clamp-for-your-telescope/ Chances are good that we already have a ClickLock with the matching thread.

I've recently purchased a new ClickLock 2 inches clamp (part num. 2956254) to upgrade my new Skywatcher Quattro 8P's focuser.
Much to my surprise, I found that the ClickLock is unable to lock the Skywatcher original coma corrector: even if the ClickLock is completely closed, the coma corrector still slips free in the focuser tube.
The same issue appears with the SharpStar 1X coma corrector.
Were you aware of this issue?
Thiis problem could be easily solved if the ClickLock was able to reach a slighly smaller diameter at its maximum closing position.
Is there anything I can do to solve this problem, other than return the ClickLock a use the original focuser adapter? I really love the ClickLock
Question by: Alex on Jul 17, 2021 10:00:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
The Clicklock clamp is designed exactly to fit for the 2" standard and fits all eyepieces and accessories we and many customers tested. We can only conclude Its not a problem of the clamp, its a problem of accessories not manufactured accurately enough according to standards, sorry to say.

I have a Celestron Edge HD 11" SCT. Is the #2956257 S57-ClickLock what I need to convert the included 2" mirror diagonal to a clicklock adapter? Thanks!
Question by: Con Kolivas on Aug 30, 2020 6:36:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
We are not sure which specific star diagonal Celestron included with your telescope, but if the eyepiece clamp can be removed, it is probably with a thread. The S52 is a ring dovetail with 52mm diameter.
Chances are good that a SC-thread is used. If you can remove the eyepiece clamp from the star diagonal and screw it onto the 2"/SC-thread on the back of your telescope, then you can use Baader 2" ClickLock SC/HD (2") clamp (C5" - C9¼") #2956220. This clamp has got a female thread; If you need a ClickLock with a male SC-thread, you can convert it with Baader 2"/2" Inverter Ring with 48mm filter thread # 1508020.
Otherwise, we'd need to ask you to measure the thread of your specific star diagonal as described here:

While both ClickLocks use indeed the same base ClickLock clamp and only differ in the used M54 and S58 adapter, those adapters are each glued permanently into the ClickLock in order to provide a safe and sturdy connection. Unfortunately that means that they cannot be exchanged.

I have a Nikon DSLR and that I use with and without a Focal reducer. What other Clicklock products would I need to purchase?
Question by: James Burt on Jun 21, 2018 9:18:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
For visual use the ClickLock diagonal and the 2" SC ClickLock clamp is great. According astrophotography you need to go another way
because the telescope requires a dedicated back focus distance to the camera. Therefore Celestron is offering a special adapter #93644 which is made of two pieces. Without reducer at f/10 the back focus length is 133,35mm, with reducer at f/7 it is 105,0mm. At last you´ll need a matching T2-Adapter for Nikon.
https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/baader-t-ring-nikon-to-t-2.html
I know it is less convenient to change accessory but for astrofotography you have to spend more attention that you´ll be successfull.

The Reducer/Flattner has a M48 male thread at the camera side so you´ll need a #2956248 ClickLock with M48 female thread. Please notice
that the ClickLock is 36,5mm long so you have 18,5mm left to the sensor of a camera. A camera adaption can be difficult.

I have a Celestron Edge HD 8 and I am looking to upgrade the visual back to ClickLock to make it easier and more secure when attaching my camera and when swapping between viewing and imaging. I will be using a Sony Nex 6. I have a camera specific T2 adapter already but I am unsure what other adapters I need to get to the magic number of 133mm. I will not be using the 0.7 reducer. Many thanks!
Question by: Lee on Jul 19, 2019 2:47:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
The length of the 2"SC thread is 9,9mm and for that the optical legth of the matching ClickLock gets reduced from 47mm to 37,1mm. From the
outer end of the ClickLock #2956220 to the focal plane the distance is now 96,25 referring back focus 133,35 minus 37,1
The camera itself has 18mm backfocus (Sony e=eighteen bayonet) plus11mm for the bajonett/T2 Ring is reducing 96,25mm-(18mm+11mm)
so we have 67,25mm to brigde with following Items:
https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/baader-2%22--t-2-nose-piece-and-camera-adapter-(same-as-used-by-sbig)-(t-2-part-16).html

https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/baader-t-2--7.5-mm-extension-tube-(t-2-part-25c).html
Left is now 2,25mm to take 1mm+1mm+0,3mm from this adjustment rings:
https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/t-2-fine-adjustment-rings-(03--05--1-mm)---aluminium.html

What would be your suggestions if I would like to use the Baader ClickLock system for visual and/or AP, keeping in mind the required 105 mm from Reducer to camera sensor by Celestron, and do I need the Celestron T-adapter also?
Question by: Ernest Joyner on Jun 6, 2017 9:45:35 AM | 1 Answer(s)
The SC-Clicklock has got a length of 47 mm, the distance from a T-2-adapter to the sensor of a DSLR is 55mm. Our T-2/2"-adapter #2408150 adds another 2.5mm, so you are at 104.5 mm which meets the tolerances pretty good - Celestron gives a tolerance of +/- 0.5mm for the EdgeHD. You may use the Baader T-2 adjustment/spacer-rings #2458102 for the perfect distance. The Celestron T-adapter is not required then.
Visual use is a bit complicated, because a star diagonal like #2956100 already has got an optical length of 112mm incl. Clicklock clamp. You can remove the nosepiece, then you'll have a 2"-thread with which you can attach it directly to the reducer - but you'll need the NexStar Locking Ring #2458270 to rotate it into a convenient position. It is 5mm thick - please check if the thread at the Celestron reducer is long enough.
But for visual observation, it is not as critical as for photography - we even have customers who have adapted a focuser to an EdgeHD and are happy with the results.

Hi, I have a binoculars 20x80 skymaster pro
The eyepiece is 40mm, can i use the 90 dgree eyepiece with it so I can easily look up!
Or any other product can serve this purpose?
Question by: Ahmad on Dec 8, 2020 9:10:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
Unfortunately there is no possibility to add an 90 degree prism to an normal binocular like Celestron Skymaster. The reason is simply that there is not enough focus travel in the binocular mechanic wich is designed to be as small as possible to be easily carried. Therefore even if you would mechanically adapt an prism, you cannot reach focus, the image would not be sharp. For this reason there is also no mechanical adaption available. There are astronomical binoculars available were you can exchange eyepieces from brands like Vixen, but these are big and heavy, cannot be hold in the hand, need tripods - and are way more expensive than a Celestron Skymaster.

I'm looking for a 2" clicklock solution to my Explore Scientific 80 mm ED APO. Unfortunately I cant find the appropriate dimension in your selection. The scope side connection has an external M54 threading (0,75). Can you suggest a solution for me, if necessary in combination with an adapter? I earlier purchased a clicklock for my C14 and I am very happy with the quality of this product.
Question by: Anders Stange on Aug 17, 2017 2:43:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
We do have an M54 ClickLock but this has also an M54 external thread (fitting for Skywatcher/Orion). So you would need an inverter ring from M54 external to M54 internal thread. Unfortunately we don't have such an adapter or another solution. The only adapter we have that would fit is our DT-Adapter II (#2458040) - but this would reduce the inner diameter to T-2 and you would have to get a T-2 inverter ring and then use our 2" T-2 Clicklock. Not the best solution...
We would suggest to get an M54 inverter ring custom made at a milling company. There is a company in Germany who does such things, but we don't know if they ship international:

It is known that this thread is made with a big tolerance so we decided to do our adapter with a diameter of 54,2mm. It is always a kind of
gambling producing accessories for other brands. Hopefully Sky-Watcher won´t change it. Lastly our ClickLock will fit fine.

I have a question about the Baader click lock. I own a Feather Touch focuser which has two tension screws and two brass pressing rings on the inside. Normally I put a 2 inch flattener directly into the focuser. Unfortunately this isn't a threaded connection, but I can't help that. Now here's the problem: my images seem to suffer from tilt, probably since there is too much wiggle between the focuser and the flattener. A friend advised me to look into the Baader click lock which may solve the tilt problem. My question is whether or not that could be a true statement and secondly how the click lock should be attached to my focuser. Maybe I need an extra adapter with it?
Question by: Douwe on Jun 23, 2021 8:44:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)

which adapter is needed for a celestron C11 A ? I am looking to upgrade optical train from the 1.25" visual back supplied by Celestron. thank you in advance
Question by: Larry Goven on Jul 30, 2021 8:56:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
If you want to attach the ClickLock 2" clamp to the 2" adapter please choose #2956220 SC / HD (2")-Clicklock (5" SC, 6" SC/HD, 8" SC/HD and 9¼" SC). Otherwise, if you want to attach the clamp directly to the big 3,3" thread on the rear end of your telescope, choose #2956233 SCL (3,3")-ClickLock (9¼" HD, 11" SC/HD and 14" SC/HD)
Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Aug 2, 2021 8:16:00 AM
Can I temporarily remove the silver knurled lever from the clamp wheel of my #2956220 ClickLock? Is it possible or even advisable?
(Further detail: The lever hits my Celestron Focus Motor. So I have to remove the Focus Motor before I can install or remove the ClickLock. If I could temporarily remove the lever, I could fully rotate the ClampLock with the focus motor in place.)
Question by: Michelle Gorrell on May 23, 2021 1:28:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
Unfortunately the removal of the lever is not provided for by design, it is glued in place and even if it were removed, the ratchet function still remains.
You could "unscrew" the lever by force, but we don't recommend it.
However, you can turn the whole head part of most ClickLock clamps - like the SC-clamp 2956220 - together with the lever into a comfortable position so that it does not interfere - see below linked PDF instructions.

I just received the #2956268 M68a x 1-ClickLock (Zeiss-norm / Baader M68-System) for my TS ED Apo 102 /714.
I have to screw The Baader ClicLock in the telescope, but i have no locking screws to secure the ClicLock to the telescope.
On my Skywatcher Mak 150 i also have a Baader ClicLock, and that one does have locking screws to secure the ClicLock to the telescope.
So why i can"t the ClicLock to my Apo?
Question by: Erik on Jan 17, 2022 5:20:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
Usually, all our ClickLocks - with the exception of those with a ring-dovetail, maybe you have one of those on your Mak? - are only screwed onto the telescope, without an additional locking screw. Some of them have screws to adjust the orientation of the handle, but that's only for conveniance. If you tighten the ClickLock on the thread of the telescope, it's usually strong enough to hold its place even if you aren't too gentle when locking/unlocking the eyepiece.

The CPC 925 contains a normal SC 925. So yes, this fits.

Is there a click indicating that a lock was achieved?
Question by: Nick on Jan 6, 2022 7:27:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
There isn't one loud click when locking is achieved - the diameters of 2" nosepieces vary slightly depending on the manufacture and on how much material was added when the nosepiece was anodyzied or otherwise finished, so the setting point varies slightly between eyepieces.
There are mana, many "micro-clicks" which you may or may not hear when operating the ClickLock - this sound has changed over time, and many customers prefer a silent Click. So, depending on the model, you may have to be very silent to hear the Click, if you can hear it at all. But the ratchet mechanism is still there and will keep the clamp in place once the eyepiece is locked. You don't need to apply force, just lock it "hand-tight".

Which Baaader 2" ClickLock should I choose for my SkyWatcher Mak-Newtonian 190mm reflector?
Question by: Antonio Simon on Nov 4, 2020 3:19:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
SkyWatcher uses several threads, so we'd have to ask you to check the thread at your specific telescope as we don't have it here.
The typical SkyWatcher-threads are:
#2956251 M54a x 0,75-2" (TS-Optics / SkyWatcher)
#2956254 M54a x 1-ClickLock (Skywatcher / Orion)
#2956256 M56i x 1-ClickLock (Skywatcher / Celestron)
#2956257 S57-ClickLock (Skywatcher / Celestron)
#2956274 M74i x 1-ClickLock (Skywatcher Esprit, TS-Optics, Omegon)
You can find a description on how to measure a thread here:

Are you thinking about making a 70mm (71mm?) Clicklock nosepiece for Planewave telescopes?
Question by: Gordon Bulger on May 5, 2019 2:48:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
For Planewave Telescopes we suggest our M68/Securefit Adapter #1323840, which can be mounted directly to Hedrick/IR90 Focusers OR to the Securefit extensions.
Then you can use our M68 Clicklock #2956268. Make sure you have enough backfocus after the ClickLock. Old 17" and current 20" do not allow for the ClickLock and 2" Diagonal. You wont reach focus.
If you need NO 2" Diagonal you may need M68 Extensions. In this case we suggest our M68 Adapterset for Planewave which includes various Extensions and the Planewave Adapter.

Recently purchased a Celestron 8" EdgeHD SCT. Not happy with the standard visual back setup. I'd like to replace it with the Baader ClickLock system. The EdgeHD visual backs are longer than the standard visual backs. Mounted on the base (3.3"?) ring is a tapered, faceted cone, providing additional length. Apparently this is to take advantage of the EdgeHD’s optimum image size which is farther back than the same position for a standard SCT. Three questions:
1. Do I leave the base ring on the SCT (it's mounted quite tight, I haven't been able to remove it with normal force), and just use the 2" threading? Or do I remove the base ring (with extra force?) and use the 2" Baader ClickLock with 3.3" clamp?
2. Do I need to compensate for the extra length of the standard setup cone? And if yes, how is this accomplised?
3. If I want to use the Celestron .7x Focal Reducer for the 800 EdgeHD, I'm assuming this goes between the SCT and the Baader ClickLock?
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance!
Question by: Peter Boender on Apr 2, 2019 11:52:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
First of all, to change accessories, only turn off the visual back by turning the orange anodized cup nut. The slitly bigger black ring on the tube
is part of it and do not open it! Comparing the classic SCT with backfocus length around ~110mm the EdgeHD model has 133,35mm. When using
a 2" diagonal the longer optical length of it is compensating the difference. For visual use the optical lengthes are not that important, for
astrophotographie it is. Okay for visual using the 2956220 ClickLock 2"SC is fine. The 0,7reducer is preffered made to use doing astrophotography,
for visual use please take eye pieces with longer focal length. Please take a look at this item (sorry german lang. only):

i have a C8 edge hd 8" sct with baader 2" click lock and I would like to use my nikon d5300 with an adapter, with which to use a filter without using the UFC. What could I buy?
Question by: Christian Trivellato on May 17, 2019 6:24:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
The 8" EdgeHD has got a backfocus of 133mm, the SC-Clicklock is 47mm long.
For an APS-C-camera, you can use T-2-adapters without problems and don't need a larger diameter for the adapters. So, you can use the standard T-ring, which gives you 55mm backfocus for the DSLR.
To adapt the APS-C-camera to the 8" EdgeHD with a Clicklock, we'd recommend
- 1x T-Ring Nikon to T-2 # 2408300 (55mm backfocus to the camera sensor)
- 1x Baader VariLock 29, lockable T-2 ExtensionTube 20-29mm with spanner tool, set to 28.5mm, # 2956929
- 1x Baader 2" / T-2 Nose Piece and Camera adapter # 2408150 (total length 2,5mm)
- 1x 2" Clicklock #2956220 (length 47mm, you already have this part)
This gives you a total length of 133mm without a filter.
You can screw any filter with a 2" housing into the 2" nosepiece (just like into any eyepiece). The filter will move the focus outwards by ca. 1/3 of its thickness, so a 2mm filter will move the focus about 0.7mm outwards. If you set the Varilock to 29mm, you are within the 8" EdgeHD's specified working distance of 133.35 +/-0.5mm.
A full-frame camera would require a Wide-T-Ring to make use of the full aperture; for the smallet APS-C, the T-2-combination works fine.

Will this item (SC) fit the thread of a Meade LX90 ACF 12" telescope please? I believe the thread is slightly different from the Celestron thread.

The way we cut the thread it should work - it has on many other customers Meade-OTAs. We can't guarantee it however, since we don´t have Meade telescopes here to test this.

Question by: Carlos Labastida on Nov 16, 2018 10:39:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
There are no ClickLock Clamps available that fit directly on the focuser of the TeleVue Refractors. We recommend to use a 2" diagonal with 2" clamp like our 2" BBHS mirrors wich meet the quality of these high end refractors.

I have an Explore Scientific ed80 and an Explore Scientific AR127, my problem is that the three screws that hold the diagonal in place, although appears tight, the diagonal still slips. I am hoping a Badder clicklock adapter will cure this but which one and how would I attach it to either scope?
Question by: Melvin Atkins on Jun 14, 2019 12:36:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
If possible please try to unscrew the original clamp counterclockwise and see what diameter the thread is. A ruler or something should be quite
good for it to see if it is 54mm. Presumably it is a M54x0.75 thread as Explore Schientific/Besser/Omegon is doing and by that the ClickLock
#2956253 should be fine.

We do not have every telescope in stock, and sometimes the specifications change - so, if the thread isn't mentioned in your telescope's manual, it is the best if you measure it yourself.
We have described how to do it here:
https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/blog/clicklock-clamp-for-your-telescope/
Or asking a dealer who sells SkyWatcher telescopes to get the specific answer.

Hi,
I own a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 SCT with CPC mount. It comes with 2" back and 2 inch diagonal. Can I replace the back with the #2956233 SCL (3,3")-ClickLock and then interface the Baader 2" ClickLock Diagonal Mirror# 2956100 ? I don't see this combination described in your documentation. If I missed it, apologies.
This would allow me to easily rotate the diagonal if needed and would appear to keep focal length very close to original. There is no problem with zenith rotation of OTA.
Any comments on doing this are appreciated.
Thanks!
Fran Doherty
Question by: Francis Doherty on Aug 3, 2018 4:42:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
Fot the EdgeHD, you can use the 3.3" Clicklock.
The regular C925 SCT doesn't have the large 3.3"-SC-thread, but the smaller 2" SC-thread like the C8. So, you need
#2956220 SC / HD (2")-Clicklock (5" SC, 6" SC/HD, 8" SC/HD and 9¼" SC)
With this, you can use any 2" accessories.
The 3.3" Clicklock only fits onto C11 and C14.

Unfortunately, we do not have the technical data of all telescopes. So, I'd ask you to either measure the dimensions of the back of your telescope and send them to us, or to ask the manufacturer (Astroshop) to provide the data. As they also sell our Clicklocks, they'll probably be able to help you, too.

Question by: Kevin Hodgson on Jul 8, 2017 9:26:00 PM | 1 Answer(s)
For the C8, you need
#2956220 SC / HD-Clicklock (6", 8", 9¼" SC and EdgeHD)
For the Altair, you'd have to check the manual to be sure, we do not have the data for all telescopes. According to their website, it should offer an M54x0,75 if you remove the original eyepiece clamp. Then the
#2956254 M54-ClickLock (Skywatcher / Orion - but not for Bresser Hexafoc)
should fit. If it doesn't, Altair mentions a M54-to-M48-adapter for CCD-cameras - if youbhave this one, you can use
#2956248 M48-ClickLock (2" Filterthread)
Then you have a standard 2" eyepiece clamp and can use 2"-accessories as before, your old 1,25"-adapter (or an optional Baader 2" to 1¼" ClickLock Reducer #2956214), or for your camera the Baader 2" / T-2 Nose Piece and Camera adapter #2408150 plus T-Ring Nikon to T-2 #2408300. You may need additional T-2-extension tubes to reach focus with your refractor.

I just purchased your Baader Clicklock SCL #2956233 for my Celestron C11. It screws on smoothly and tightens up very well to the C11 rear cell. Too well. It is very hard to remove once you snug it up. Is there a washer recommended to go between the Clicklock and the rear cell to make it easier to remove? Sometimes I need to reinstall the original visual back so I have SCT threads for my flip mirror.
Question by: Andrew on Feb 6, 2018 2:43:00 AM | 1 Answer(s)
We do not have a washer, although one made of plastic would surely help - similar to our T-2 spacer-rings, which of course are much too small for this use-case. Most people leave the Clicklock-clamp always on the telescope.
We do not have ready-made wahers, but to released stuck parts, we like to use sturdy rubber gloves which give you a better grip. Maybe they are also helpful for you.
