Finger Lakes Instrumentation

State of the art CCD and sCMOS Cameras

Finger Lakes Instrumentation (FLI), a U.S. company based in New York, design, built and services high-quality cooled CCD cameras for astrophotography and develops world-class accessories for gaining images, including high-speed filter wheels and precision focusers.

FLI has rapidly become one of the major and well-known manufacturers of cooled CCD cameras since its founding in 2000. In July 2018, FLI was acquired by IDEX Health & Science LLC (IH&S), a large life sciences company that shifted FLI's focus solely to applications in the life sciences. As IDEX Health & Science strategically focuses on OEM applications in the life sciences sector, Finger Lakes Instrumentation (FLI), a division of IDEX Health & Science, has decided to realign its product offerings. This realignment includes the discontinuation of sales and support for astronomical FLI cameras and all filter wheels.

Since May 3, 2024, the American camera manufacturer Finger Lakes Instrumentation (FLI®), a leading company in the development and manufacturing of cooled, low-noise CMOS and CCD cameras, is once again operating independently under new ownership and with many familiar faces. With the acquisition by local entrepreneurs and the return of the original founders, FLI® is once again focusing on its core market of astronomy.

We look forward to soon presenting new and updated FLI products on this page. If you are interested, please contact our sales team.
