I purchased the Hyperion Zoom and the MPCC Mark III. Can you tell me how to adapt the eyepiece to the coma corrector?
I also want to use other eyepieces. How do I know the right distance between fieldstop position and the MPCC?

variabler 1 1/4" Okularhalter

Baader Focussing Eyepiece holder # 2458125
It works great! I use it on visual observations.
I have one on my f/7.5 Apo refractor, which has standard a 10:1 focussing reducer. It is used for extra fine focussing while observing planets. This way I am very sure I have the sharpest view.
I use one on a f/5 achromatic refractor too. Even with the standard 10:1 focusser it is sometimes difficult to judge if you are in focus or not. With this little gadget there is no problem. It outclasses by far the standard focusser.

  • Very fine focussing is possible, even on coarse focussers. Hardly any extra weight.
  • The thumbscrew for blocking the fine focusser could be a tad bigger. That way one can feel the difference compared to the other thumbscrews. Very handy in the dark. I installed a bigger one.
