Marco

Great product!I've enjoyed using the Baader Universal zoom a lot. It's sturdy, solid and you can feel quality craftsmanship. It's easy to use outdoors and the views are excellent. I'm happy as I feel that I got what I paid for. The Barlow has been great well. The only minus I can give about it that the markings themselves won't probably last a lifetime and are starting to wear out slightly already. Other than that, it's all good and I'm already purchasing another one of these zooms for my upcoming Maxbright binoviewer set.Petteri

Vielen dank MfgJ.P.

Baader 36mm HyperionThis is a really nice eyepiece. I did a lot of testing of the true field of view on various telescopes and it truly is 72 degrees when used as a 2 inch eyepiece. With my super fast f6.5 refractor this eyepiece gives me astonishing 3.9 degrees of the field of view - comparable to some finder scopes. The Pleiades look absolutely spectacular through this combo. Baader 36 mm shows even more value on slower, catadioptric scopes. With my 8 inch SCT this eyepiece allows more than generous 1.3 degree field of view, amazing for a two meter focal length telescope. Allows me to see M42 in all its beauty, M45 shows almost all stars while M81 and M82 fit really nicely in this wide field of view. I also tested the flatness of the field of view and it seems to approach 100%. Would need a perfectly flat primary to confirm 100%, but at the end this is more than enough to show all stars in focus. Here I am attaching a photo with Celestron’s entry level Omni 102 mm and Baader 36mm eyepiece. This combinations provides such wide field of view that a finder scope is not needed.Miki B.

Great EyepiecFor what it costs this is an awesome eyepiece, definitely the gem in my collection. Works superbly with a 900 mm apo refractor or even a 1500 mm Maksutov. Couple of my outreach friends couldn't believe when they tried it, needless to say I recommended them to get this eyepiece.Miki B.

Toby Baier

My first Hyperion that convinced me to get moreTop quality low power 21mm in a 1.25" fitting This eyepiece represents outstanding quality at a reasonable price. A lovely Baader feature is that the Hyperions will fit both 1.25" and 2" focusers/diagonals. Nice fit and finish with an easy to identify colour band (not that that helps much in the dark). I use this unit mainly for Hydrogen-Alpha solar observations where it performs better than some wider field eyepieces with more elements. ( I used the 21, 13 & 8mm Hyperions) I also think the Baader multi-coatings make a difference. Overall highly recommended for those seeking to balance quality vs price.Peter B

I managed to get the focus with my hershel baader and my TS-Optics RFT 6" f/5.9 refractor , but I am forced to take the glasspath of my barlow VIP and put it on my bino and the super it works.
I would like to know which glasspath to take to have the same magnification factor but no more. I use it with a pair of panoptic 24 MN and I would like to keep the entire disc in the bino.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLYIs Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: 0The Glasspathcorrector 1:2,60 for Baader-Binoviewer # 2456317 is very similar the Barlow lens in the VIP barlow with only a slightly different optical design to achieve the colour correction. You can install it the same way as the lens element of the VIP and should get the same magnification.
Depending on the version of your Herschel prism, there may be even shorter adaptations, so that you can use lower magnifications - we have recently (spring 2024) updated the manual of our Herschel wedge # 2956510 to better show the use with old and new models of our Herschel wedge.Answer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Apr 22, 2024 9:18:00 AMRated: 2
I am interested in the CGX-L tripod adapter, # 2451118.

I have a Sony 10 MkiV
I want to take pictures safely of the sun.
The camera has a screw thread for a lenss
Please advise the best productIs Answered? Yes (1 answer)
Answer rated: -1We are very sorry we have no filters with threads for mounting on lenses of compact cameras. You can make your own filter with an sheet of AstroSolar 20x30cm https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/solar/whitelight/astrosolar-safety-film-od-5.0-(20x29-100x50-117x117-cm).html or you can check if one of our ASTF or ASBF filters https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/solar/whitelight.html
fits for your needs. For this, you need to measure the diameter of your cameras front lens and compare with the values in this table https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/downloads/dl/file/id/299/product/2986/baader_solar_filters_clamping_range.pdfAnswer by: Baader Web Team (Admin) on Apr 12, 2024 3:20:00 PMBaader Planetarium GmbHOur company exists now for more than 50 years.
