Links large Riccardi Reducer to Baader M68 gear - with some work and lubrication.I bought this to link the camera side M82 female thread on the large Riccardi Reducer to my M68 imaging train including the UFC system. It now works well (see image) but I had to deal with two issues: 1. My copy is an extremely tight fit on my copy of the Riccardi Reducer. At first I thought the thread on one of the parts was damaged as I could only get half a turn on but having gone over both with a magnifying glass it was clear that both threads were OK. I had to use some suitable lubricant (WD40) and a large jam jar opener to slowly loosen up the link and now I can screw it on by hand. Of course the last thing you want is a loose fit but I think the tolerance is a bit low on the diameters. 2. On the M68 side the details of the thread geometry as such that while you get a good lock with the M68 male telescope side adapter of the UFC system (two whole 360 turns), with the TS-optics M68 adapters only about a single turn is available due to differences in thread positioning.William -

Sehr gutDer Ring ist sehr leicht und stabil. Es passt genau zu meinen Bedürfnissen. Ich kann jetzt das volle Potenzial meines Teleskops nutzen. Da Pentax-Geräte heutzutage schwer zu finden sind, ist dieser Ring sehr nützlich. Meine Kamera behält ihre Position bei, ohne sich zu verschieben.Marc F. -

Las Pléyades tienen una extensión de aproximadamente un grado en el cielo, lo que equivale aproximadamente al doble del tamaño de la Luna llena. El campo de visión del telescopio se puede calcular con la fórmula: Campo de visión ocular x distancia focal ocular / distancia focal telescopio. Con una distancia focal del telescopio de 1000 mm, el cálculo sería 72x36/1000 = 2,6 grados. Eso sería suficiente para obtener una vista completa de las Pléyades.
It depends on the focal length of your telescope. The Pleiades have an extent of about one degree in the sky, which is about twice the size of the full Moon. The field of view of the telescope can be calculated with the formula: Eyepiece field of view x eyepiece focal length / telescope focal length. With a telescope focal length of 1000 mm, the calculation would be 72x36/1000 = 2.6 degrees. I would like to make an adapter for a pillar mount to hold this flange. Do you have a drawing showing the hole locations/sizes and dimensions for the flange?

Laser Colli - Mark III
How can we collimate the laser colli if it is out of adjustment ? Thanks
Answer rated: 0Normally, readjustment is not necessary. But if you want to do so: There are 6 adjustment screws under the rubber. However, these are secured. You must first carefully warm up the glue with a soldering iron and then operate the adjustment screws. Steeldrive II Controller
Can the cables for the motor drive and temp. sensor be extended in length? I would like to move the controller to a table in my observatory, which would require a cable length of 8 meters.
