  • Baader Wide-T-Ring Canon R to connect Canon EOS R cameras on the Astro T-2 system and S52 dovetail
  • All Baader Wide-T-rings have an S52 dovetail in addition to the inserted T-2 ring. This allows the T-ring to be modified to an M48 female thread using the S52 / M48 adapter #2958552, or to use the S52 barrel #2958551 without the T-2 reduction. With the S52 / M68 adapter # 2458252, the Wide-T-Ring can be directly attached to an M68 male thread to securely fasten your camera to the widest possible aperture.
  • All Baader Wide T-rings can be directly adapted to an UFC (Universal Filter Changer) with the optional Baader UFC S52 dovetail camera-adapter (#2459119), in order to change different filter sizes directly in front of the camera sensor.
  • Furthermore, the illumination of the camera chips improved significantly, mainly because of the larger clear aperture.
  • On the camera side: Canon R Bayonet
  • Telescope side: S52 dovetail clamp incl. S52/T-2 internal thread with 0.75mm pitch

Product Questions

Sort by ASC
I would like to use this Canon R Wide T-Ring and the UFC system as shown in the product image with the telescope. I want to use it to attach a Canon EOS R to my telescope's field flattener which has 55 mm of back focus and a male T-2 connector.

I just ordered the new Canon Ra. I would like to find an M48 ring to screw my corrector on.
Do you have a compatible ring?
Is this ring compatible?

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have Canon EOS R5 full frame mirrorless camera (RF-mount’s flange focal distance is 20mm) and I am going to buy Celestron Nexstar 8SE Telescope.
My goal is to get good photographs from planets, moon and maybe deep sky objects too. I know, that I need high quality optical elements between the telescope and the camera to achieve the goal.
I am going to buy Baader 2" BBHS ® Prism Star Diagonal Prism with 2" ClickLock Clamp, Baader Hyperion Universal Zoom Mark IV, 8-24 mm eyepiece (1¼" / 2"), 9 mm and 17.5 mm Morpheus® 76° widefield eyepiece. VIP 2x modular barlow lens is also in my list.
What kind of adapters, extensiontubes and other finetuning products do I need to attach my camera to eyepieces? I think I need a new Baader Wide-T-Ring Canon R but what else to get good astrophotographs?
