My goal is to use the televid close to its native focal length with a camera.
Any help appreciated
The Leica eyepieces have a pre-mounted Barlow lens, which protrudes so far into the eyepiece socket of the Televid that the first eyepiece lens almost rests on the prism. Only then you can reach the focal point with the eyepiece at infinity setting. Our "Zero-Length" M44 ring is actually intended to be screwed into our Hyperion Zoom Mark IV instead of the 1 1/4" socket so that our zoom can be used on the Televid instead of a Leica eyepiece - because only in this way can our eyepiece with its front lenses reach as far into the Televid as the LEICA eyepieces.
With a camera, however, these lenses are missing, the image will not be able to be focused. You may be able to test if you can get into focus by bringing your intended camera to the televid at a distance of 16 mm and see if the image comes into focus, not just at 3M distanceuing but at infinity setting.
CONCLUSION: in our opinion, unfortunately, a camera connection without focal length-extending intermediate optics is impossible. Unfortunately, we do not offer and don´t know a source for such intermediate optics that would be suitable for this purpose.
