MIBAS (Midas Iraf Baader Astronomy Suite)# 2458655

MIBAS Software
Review by Anton Heidemann
- 12/9/2017

Knowing nothing about LINUX, I did not dare using LINUX based software like MIDAS, IRAF etc for spectroscopy. But being keen on playing around with spectra obtained with the BACHES spectroscope I overcame my hesitation and installed the Virtual Box and the MIBAS program suite with the help of a Baader collaborator. This help was extremely useful and necessary (...) » read full review

TRAVEL COMPANION First Impressions Been observing on and off for 40 yrs. and own a SkyVision 20" f3/3 GoTo dob which is a truly amazing scope, but I can't take it with me when I travel on an aircraft for instance, and there is no room for it in the car when we go on holiday. Best scope I have ever owned but not always the right scope in every place. So (...) » read full review

Baader 31mm Hyperion Aspheric 2" Eyepiece# 2454631

Outstanding Wide Angle Eyepiece
Review by James
- 21/11/2017

I like this eyepiece for the crisp, distortion-free, wide angle views that it provides, but in addition, it is less than half the weight of 82 degree eyepieces of equivalent focal length and it has good eye relief too. I use it in a 60 mm APO refractor telescope, where it yields a seven degree field of view, wide enough to frame the Hyades Cluster. Very fine optical design and exquisite workmanship! Thanks, Team Baader.

Baader 2" ClickLock eyepiece clamps

Click Lock für Komakorrektor
Review by Kai Wicker
- 19/11/2017

Research Grade TZ-3 Telecentric System (3x focal length)# 2459257

Baader TZ3
Review by Randy
- 11/12/2017

Customer Images

I had been imaging the sun for a long time now but nobody made a telecentric 3x until now. My telescope is a F8 refractor and a 2x would only give me a F16 system while the available 4x would give me a F32 all but useless on most days where the seeing conditions are not perfect. Glad to see that Baader has answered the calls for a good telecentric lens of 3x.

Baader Sky Surfer V illuminated finder# 2957310

Baader Planetarium Sky Surfer V - latest version
Review by Steve Ringwood
- 11/10/2017

Customer Images

The red dot finder (RDF) has by tradition existed as a rather diminutive add-on to a telescope’s tube furniture. (Like a grass-hopper nervously gripping an oak tree.) It is either placed there by the manufacturer as a cheaper alternative to an optical finder, or as a cursory stepping stone prior to a finder-scope taking over. Not so the Baader Sky Surfer V. Baader 24mm Hyperion 68° Eyepiece - Non Variable# 2454624

Muscheln der Hyperions
Review by Champollion
- 11/8/2017

Baader 10mm Hyperion 68° Modular Eyepiece# 2454610

Very nice eyepiece
Review by Paashaas
- 11/4/2017

A lot of higher power eyepieces tend to have a 'looking through a straw'-feel, but not this eyepiece. Feels solid and gives crisp views of Jupiter and Saturn. A superb upgrade and a great eyepiece!

Baader T-2 / 90° Baader Roof-Prism with BBHS ® coating (T-2 part #02)# 2456130

Baader T-2-/ 90° Astro-Amici Prisma
Review by Gerd R.
- 30/10/2017

Baader 2" ClickLock eyepiece clamps

simply safer
Review by Alex
- 18/10/2017

Sometimes worried about the safety of your expensive (or not expensive) eyepieces on your telescope? just choose the easiest way to secure them by using a clicklock clamp! I used a M54 clicklock on the former SW NT focuser and it was a real progress. With the S58 clicklock on my new BDS-NT Steeltrack, it is the perfect duo for heavy eyepieces: easy to clamp, perfect fit, never move, excellent prehension, and annular clamping for straightness and to avoid scratch on the eyepiece. just forget screws and try this!

looking for an alternative to others expensive focusers on the market and a good value for money? it is time to take an interest in these Steeltrack focusers. As always with Baader, the finishing is perfect and the telescope has a great look with it. It was not so easy to install because you have to drill your tube. Even if it is thin, the drill bit can slip (...) » read full review

Baader Safety CoolCeramic Herschel Prism 2" Photographic Version# 2956500P

Excellent for hard core solar observers & Photo
Review by Robert
- 10/6/2017

I use the photographic model for both visual and photography. I use it with a TV 85 APO refractor and a 152mm Officina Stellare APO triplet refractor.. I was concerned that my TV 85 APO wouldn't have enough in focus for photography. But with the removal of the Click lock and replacement with the Tmount adaptor and my Niikon (...) » read full review

Baader Hyperion Universal Zoom Mark IV, 8-24mm eyepiece (1¼" / 2")# 2454826

Use this eyepiece on a variety of telescopes including 85mm and 152mm high end APO refractors, 8" , 11" and 14" HD SCTs and a 22" DOB. Overall a very good eyepiece. Only two minor cons: 1. Needs a bit more in focus than most of my other eyepieces from a variety of manufacturers. It works on all my telescope (...) » read full review
