Update 22.09.17: Information regarding availability of Maxbright Mark II Binocular

By now we have received multiple inquiries regarding the specs, price and availability of our upcoming Maxbright Mark II Binoviewer. Let us state the following:
To avoid that our competitors immediately start to prepare for our new product, and in order not to promise something which we might not be able to keep, please understand that we can not publish any specifications just yet.

What we can tell you: We have the complete original Zeiss drawings from the Mark V Giant Binoviewer and all construction documents for the Zeiss optical quality requirements of the prisms. We have made every effort to use this knowledge in the production process. The result will be a binoviewer in another price-range than the previous Maxbright binoviewer. The goal is to set this apart from the entire mass of all cloned binoculars and to offer a new standard for affordable but high-quality binocular observation.

As for stating a delivery date: we are working hard on this product, but it will probably take another six monts from now. However we will not make the mistake again and announce something with a fixed delivery date too soon and then having to postpone it again and again - as happened with our 17.5mm Morpheus. Please read this thread on that matter: Information on Backorders/Release of 17.5 mm Morpheus® 76° widefield eyepiece

Best regards, Team Baader Planetarium

Important note: Not available anymore. A successor model is in preparation

Can you advise if one can lock the diopters on the G1 model to prevent rotation when zooming with a 2x zoom lenses (Hyperion Mk III) in the binoviewer? If so how can one do it?
