I just received a Baader Stronghold Tangent. I cannot remove the locking dowel it's holder. What is the proper way to remove the locking dowel from its holder?

The clamp provided on top is for vixen universal plate correct also.called EQ? I believe with the top two peice clamp removed the Baader vario with the supplied base plate can be directly attached to the tangent. Please confirm..

I currently use a V-Dove tail clamp through to M6 threads on my mount Giro Ercole to install my OTAs.
I'd like to align the two OTAs used on this mount.
I don't see how to fix the Stringhold Tangent on my mount instead of the V-Dove tail clamp.

Baader Stronghold auf Celestron 11EdgeHD
Meine ersten Versuche die Spiralgalaxie M51 mit meinem 11“Edge HD von Celestron (f=2800 mm) auf einer Skywatcher AZ/EZ6 zu fotografieren liefen mit mäßiger Statistik, nur ca. 10-15% der Bilder waren akzeptabel. Ich habe dazu eine Nikon Z6 eingesetzt und APT als Aufnahme-Software.
Ich fand dann in meinem Schrank eine TheImagingsource DMK 41AF02.AS CCD Kamera. Ich habe diese an meinen Sucher Baader Multi-Purpose Vario Finder 10x60 angebracht.
Mit dem neuen Baader Stronghold Tangentialneiger habe ich den Sucher an meinen Celestron angebracht und habe dazu von der MQR IV Quick-Release Sucherhalterung nur den Flansch an den C11 benutzt.
Den ersten Versuch an M51 zeige ich im zu sehenden Bild. Ich habe dazu 10 Bilder bei ISO 2000 á 2 Minuten mit der Nikon belichtet und dabei den Teleskop mit meinem Sucher über die PHD2 Software gesteuert. Mit Deepskystacker und Photoshop nachgearbeitet ist das Ergebnis meiner Meinung nach schon sehr gut, bedenkt man, dass der Sucher nur 150 mm Brennweite hat.
  • Super Stabil. Sehr reproduzierbare Einstellung möglich.

Sehr zufrieden
Vor zwei Jahren habe ich den ersten SH erworben und habe nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Er ist solide Konstruiert und hält sehr sicher, was man von anderen Tangentialklemmungen anderer Marken nicht unbedingt sagen kann.
Ich verwende ihn für den Vario Finder und den zweiten für einen 80er APO als Leitrohr auf einer 3" Schiene. Die Konstruktion ist stabil genug um mein Meade 12" bei 3000mm Brennweite sicher zu guiden.
Bei visueller Beobachtung ist er natürlich ebenso empfehlenswert.

Mein Fazit:
Eine der besten Tangentialhalterungen, die ich jeh hatte. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

  • Sehr stabil, robust, optisch ansprechend durch Eloxierung, Pfiffige Lösung für Aufbewahrung des Arretierhebels
  • etwas viel Spiel mit der 3" klemme auf der Schiene. Somit größere Toleranzen beim ab- und Aufbau

Ich habe den stronghold als Ersatz für Leitrohrschellen gewählt. Er hält meinen Orion 80 ,nomen est omen, bombenfest. Auch die Justierung ist wesentlich leichter und präziser und vor allem unverrückbar, im Vergleich zur 3 Punkt Fummelei mit Rohrschellen. Ein Leitstern mit dem stronghold fixiert,bleibt wo er soll.
