I have a Celestron Edge HD 8" SCT. After a few months using the 40mm kit eyepiece, I'm looking to purchase a couple of Hyperion eyepieces. What ClickLock components would be required to mount this?

I also have a Celestron Evolution HD 8 telescope. My diagonal is 1.25 inches. Can I install the 2 inch Clicklock as the telescope’s new visual back, immediately followed by the 2 to 1.25 inch Clicklock Reducer, then my 1.25 inch diagonal (regular non-Baader)?

Follow up question i dont think my original question was answered. It is mentioned here that you can use T2-15B as an eyepiece holder in a T2 diagonal which then doesn't allow it to freely rotate as you mentioned. This is why i asked if the Lever is adjustable with the screw that you can see directly across from the Lever itself. Please advise if it possible to loosen this to adjust the outer ring position? I realize that T2-08 is an option but it doesn't have the lever!

I would like to use this T2-15B as an eyepiece holder on a T2 Diagonal. Is it possible to adjust the position of the lever by loosening the small set screw that is opposite of it in the upper ring? (when it is screwed into the diagonal the lever is not in a good position for me) I know that it is possible with the 2" clicklock (with the 6 set screws at the bottom - https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/downloads/dl/file/id/1559/product/3030/adjusting_the_clicklockr_lever.pdf. I would like to use this clicklock reducer to attach my Hyperion Zoom Mark IV eyepiece to the T-2/90 32mm prism diagonal. My first question is: would this be suitable? and my second question is: would I have to replace the B-Adapter on the eyepiece with the A-Adapter?

I recently purchased a Celestron 8" Edge HD SCT. I would like to change the Celestron supplied setup with secure Baader diagonal and connectors, while remaining to use 1.25" eyepieces. I'm thinking following setup (starting from back of SCT) for visual observations:
1. Baader # 2958500B - SC / HD Ultra Short T-Adaptor (https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/baader-sc-ultra-short-t-adaptor-for-c-581114.html)
2. Any of the Baader T-2 diagonals (https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/accessories/optical-accessories/prism-and-mirror-star-diagonals.html)
3. Baader # 2956214 - 2" to 1¼" ClickLock Reducer (https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/baader-2%22-to-1%C2%BC%22-clicklock-reducer-(t-2-part-15b).html)
If I'm not mistaken the various items should all connect together via the T-2 threads.
Is this a good setup?

The Baader ClickLock®-System (1¼" / 2") in an overview

Never before has an eyepiece clamp for amateur astronomy been so elaborately crafted.

Das Baader ClickLock System - 1.25 und 2 Zoll

The Baader ClickLock (1¼" / 2") is a precisely fitting, very massive eyepiece clamp without clamping screws (!). Inserted eyepieces, CCD cameras and similar accessories are securely held in place, locked against rotation and won't be scratched in any way! With a small turn of 20°, each eyepiece is firmly clamped. You will never have to handle small locking screws again – instead, just rotate the top of the eyepiece clamp for a few degrees, and the eyepiece will be firmly fixed. This is also no problem with gloves on!

Our various ClickLock clamps are made of seven precision-machined components which provide a highly effective retention mechanism that securely holds any 1¼" or 2" eyepiece. The clamp is very expensive to assemble, the price therefore initially may appear high for "nothing more than" a clamping device. But if you think about the comfort, precision and stability, it's well worth the money.

You do not have to tighten the ClickLock clamps with brutal force, because the mechanical principle comes from professional mechanical engineering. This is how the tool holder in modern CNC milling centers works. Clever use of leverage multiplies the torque. The inserted object is held on three sides similar to a quick-action chuck and can therefore no longer carry out any tilting movements.

Details on Baader ClickLock Reducer from 2" to 1¼"

  • Precision machined reducer to complement the Baader 2" ClickLock-System, inserted height only 9.5mm
  • Firmly holds all 1¼" eyepieces, accessories, and diagonals
  • ClickLock compression ring made of hardened bronze ensures lifetime non-marring operation
  • Fingertip operated twist-lock system works like a CNC machine chuck – onto the compression ring
  • Bidirectional ratcheted lever (no thumbscrew!) indicates open/close position in the dark
  • Gentle touch onto the lever results in ultra-strong locking action – and easy release
  • Accepts all astronomical, cell-mounted 2" eyepiece-filters
  • T-2 (M42x0.75) inner photo-thread attaches onto most T-2 threaded accessories and all Baader T-2 diagonals

Clicklock 1 1/4 Reduzierung

Wieder mal 1 A Qualität

  • Es gibt nichts was man besser machen könnte!

VERY VERSATILE - TOP QUALITY
Not only adds a ClickLock to 1.25" from 2" - the inner T-2 thread connects to Baader T-2 diagonals and many other products as well! Clamp a 1.25" eyepiece in the diagonal, and clamp the diagonal's 1.25" nosepiece in a 2" focuser drawtube. I use these on all my scopes and diagonals. Why settle for thumbscrews in the dark? Nothing beats ClickLock for security and ease of use.
  • Build quality, security, ease of use, smooth and steady mechanics
